AC or DC Latching Relay with DPDT contacts
A relay with a memory
|
-
Latching power relay with DPDT double-pole, double-throw contacts, plus
- quick-connect or screw terminals
- flyback voltage protection, and
- printed circuit board for convenient mounting.
- May be used with model railroad 'snap' switches for position feedback, signal lights or routing frog power.
- Latching feature ensures that this relay will maintain its same position when system power is turned off.
About CDU's (Capacitor Discharge Units)
If your twin-coil switch machine is powered by a CDU, such as a Circuitron Snapper or an
NCE Snap-It, use a LARY-DC latching relay with your turnout.
CDU's send a DC pulse to the switch machine, and if it happens to be positive with respect
to 'common' then the LARY-AC latching relay will not work.
|
LARY-DCS relay adds turnout contacts to a SwitchMaster or SwitchTender switch motor.
|
LARY-DCS relay adds more turnout contacts to a Tortoise switch motor.

For signals that have LEDs, always use a DC power source and current limiting resistors, as shown here:
Kato and Aristocraft / LGB switch machines are single coil, as shown here:
For signals that have LEDs, always use a DC power source and current limiting resistors, as shown above.
